Absolutely Bananas

In 2004 I had occasion to purchase several new workstations for my software company. These machines needed to be relatively recent and reasonably well specced. After browsing through Dell and Gateway to see what they had in the way of “workstations” that I could purchase off the shelf nothing really took my fancy. None of the machines were really set up for people who actually do more than a bit of word processing and e-mail or play anything other than Doom 3 so I took it upon myself to order the parts and assemble the machines myself. No great feat, people do this every day. I hadn’t done it for a couple of years, having spent 3 years working almost exclusively from a laptop so I knew I had a bit of catching up to do.

The Banana Jr. is the outcome of this.
